Tribby Arts Center at Shell Point
Fort Myers, FL 2020
Tribby Arts Center at Shell Point, located in Ft. Myers Florida, is in the final stages of construction. The 44,000-square foot arts center contains a full-time art gallery, practice rooms for musicians, numerous studios for painting, crafts, pottery, quilting, textiles, stained glass, and photography. The project also includes a 350+ seat, state-of-the-art theatre-style Connie Brown Hall auditorium. The ample stage in the Connie Brown Hall will host premium productions and features a portable orchestra shell, motorized stage rigging system, and a movie theatre sized projection screen. The hall is a top-notch creative space for Shell Point’s discerning performing arts patrons designed by Christopher Lee Architects in collaboration with TSG Design Solutions as the theater consultant. SEAL was chosen by Gates Construction as the theatrical integrator and our team is executing a state-of-the-art theatrical lighting and control system.
The dimming and control system is composed of ETC gear. For power controls the system uses a Sensor 3 dimming rack with the configurable ThruPower modules, additionally a Sensor IQ48 relay panel is used for simple relay controls. For architectural lighting control a full Paradigm system is in place for the client to have simple to operate basic lighting control not requiring the console to be used. The main lighting console is an ION XE 20 2K along with ETCpad for remote use in the building. For backstage control, a simple ColorSource 20 AV rounds it all out.
Lighting Fixtures are made up of a blend of conventional Source Four Ellipsoidals, ETC Vivid D40 LED Pars, and Colorsource LED Cyclites. Chauvet Maverick MK2 Spot moving lights complete the 126-unit inventory.
SEAL’s scope includes all low voltage wire pulls and terminations, along with a complete fixture hang and focus with commissioning of entire system for full functionality before the theatre is turned over to the community of Shell Point.
The center is slated for completion in the fall of 2020.
