Project Description

Monroe County Public Schools

Monroe County, FL 2017

Stage Equipment and Lighting (SEAL) undertook the complete and simultaneous redevelopment of three Monroe County public high school theaters. The scope of work required replacing outdated analog technology with up-to-date LED lighting utilizing ETC networking and control as the backbone. Through this project Key West High School, Marathon High School and Coral Shores High School took substantial leaps forward for their performing arts programs.

While both Key West and Coral Shores received completely new systems, Marathon required SEAL to merge the new technology with the existing Strand systems, an integration that required advanced engineering to ensure reliability and improve functionality.

To complicate matters, Hurricane Irma battered Marathon just before the project’s completion. This necessitated key components to be replaced before finalizing the work, SEAL adapted to the situation delivering a final product, which enables students to experience the latest available technologies while learning their craft.
