Millennium Middle School

Seminole Public Schools decided to build a new school, which is based on a design prototype of a performing arts school in Venice, Florida. Called Millennium Middle School is built to have an emphasis on performing arts and is planned to expand to a high school campus in the future.

Stage Equipment and Lighting (SEAL) installed a complete lighting and control system in the new 780-seat auditorium which included both conventional dimming via Sensor 3 for traditional Source Four tungsten fixtures, and Echo relays to power the DMX controlled LED house lighting and LED theatrical fixtures.

The entire system uses ETC Product; Paradigm processor for architectural control, ION XE lighting console in front of house, ColorSource Spot LED with Cyc adaptors, Source Four Tungsten Elipsoidal and Pars, and Prodigy Hoists for rigging. Finishing out the lighting package are a pair of Lycian SuperStar Followspots at front of house.

SEAL’s scope of work was not just installation and terminations, it included a complete hang and focus to the consultant’s specification, and school’s satisfaction, concluding with the training of the school’s faculty.
